About AOI Seicha
AOI Seicha is located in Nishio Aichi, one of Japan’s top three matcha-producing regions. Founded during the Taisho era, the company boasts over a century of history and tradition.
The brand inherits the family crest Tachi AOI, which also serves as the origin of the Tokugawa Shogunate’s Mitsuba AOI crest. Upholding a customer-first philosophy, AOI Seicha embraces the three hollyhock leaves as symbols of its core values: honesty, trust, and appreciation.
Through generations of dedication and innovation, Nishio matcha has established the cultivation techniques and tea-processing methods that form the foundation of today’s industry. AOI Seicha carries on this rich tradition while integrating modern technology and strict hygiene standards, striving to deliver premium, safe, and authentic matcha.

AOI Seicha International Certification
AOI Seicha and its contract tea farmers cultivate organic tea gardens without using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or genetic modification techniques. According to the “Japanese Agricultural Standards” (JAS) established by Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, organic crops must be grown on land enriched with green manure and free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides for at least two years. Only after passing inspections and meeting the standards can the JAS organic certification be granted.
